Seek the scattered star is part of the Genshin Impact 4.8 flagship event quest called They Once Walked the Starry Sky. The objective takes place at the highest point of the castle where players must find three scattered stars after interacting with the Goddess of the Prophecy statue to fix the sky above the castle.

During the Genshin Impact 4.8 event quest, players will reach the castle's highest point and will have to connect all the oracle pillars to form a star. This will unlock the quest objective "Seek the scattered stars" before you can interact with the Goddess of Prophecy's statue.

You must collect three stars to complete this objective.

The first scattered star can be found in the middle of the oracle pillar puzzle. Players must pick up the first star to progress further in the Genshin Impact 4.8 event quest and ask questions to the statue of the Goddess of Prophecy.

From here, head southwest towards the castle's teleport waypoint and jump down to find the second scattered star. You will encounter two toy soldiers protecting the star from a group of hilichurls.

Defeat the group of hilichurls to collect the scattered star. Keep in mind that you must converse with the toy soldiers after saving them, and they will hand over the item you are seeking. Additionally, you will unlock a treasure chest containing Primogems, Excerpts of Bliss, and other in-game resources.

After saving the toy soldiers head south and turn left at the end of the road to find the third scattered star. You will come across three toy soldiers stuck on walls and some hilichurls. You must defeat two waves of enemies before you can interact with the stuck soldiers.

Pull down the two other toy soldiers before interacting with the one with the "Defend the stars!" dialogue to collect the final item to complete the quest.
