How to Sneak up on a Squirrel in Animal Well

Animal Well may be a tiny pixelated game that has a very short main story, but it is filled with secrets that can keep you hooked for hours. Among all the secret achievements, the one that has many players scratching their heads is the Sneak achievement. To get it, you must steal a nut from the Squirrel.

Stealing a nut from a Squirrel is not as easy as it sounds. In the game, you must go on a journey to collect multiple pieces to solve the puzzle and move very cautiously; just like their real-world counterparts, the Squirrel in Animal Well is extremely jumpy and will run if it gets the slightest hunch that you are near it.

Method to Sneak up on the Squirrel in Animal Well

To start your Squirrel sneaking journey, you must first go and find the Firecrackers in Animal Well. Once you get the Firecrackers, go and defeat the blue spirit to progress further into the game. Follow the road on the right of the room, where you defeated the blue ghost, and eventually, you will reach the room with four animal statues.

This room is essential to the game’s main story, so there are very low chances for you to miss it. Once you reach the room, go through the right exit and climb the ladder. Hop out onto the upper room and continue to go right. As you go right, if you see the giant Chameleon resting in the corner of one of the rooms, you are on the right path.

You will see the Squirrel sitting on a platform in the room to the right of where you saw the chameleon. To reach it, continue right and you will reach a room full of small bugs crawling on platforms. Remember, this is not Mario and they are not Gumbas, do not jump on them. You can’t kill them on your own.

Avoid the bugs and carefully jump on the platforms to reach the top right exit. In the next room, you see a chest. Go to the right of the room use the Totoro-looking bunny as a platform and reach the chest. Get the key from the chest and get out. Open the gate on the left side of the bug room and go left. Do not climb the ladder.

After opening the gate, walk slowly until you come near the Squirrel. Get near the Squirrel and steal its nut to complete the Sneak achievement in Animal Well.
