Bethesda's newest title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will be making its way onto the PC and Xbox Series X and S platforms worldwide on December 9, 2024, with a release date of Spring 2025 for PS5. Indy's adventures have been known to take him to unique locations, and his adventures when mixed with his puzzle-solving, are known to be the stuff of legend.
One such puzzle is encountered while playing through the Stolen Cat Mummy main quest, where Indy has to use a few chains to move some large hanging objects to unlock a door. Below are the steps to complete this quest in the game and the ideal method to do so.

Solving the Golden Trial puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
While exploring the Underground area found underneath the Fountain of Confessions, the marker will guide you toward a large door with a chain beside it. Interact with the chain to unlock the door, which leads to a larger room, with what seem to be large objects hanging from the ceiling.
Underneath these large objects are burning embers. Notice the two whip prompts located near the roof on either side of the room, but do not interact with them yet, for these will be useful in some time. Head to the end of the room, and a large lever will be in front of you.
Simply interacting with it will burn Indy, so head to the left of the lever, where a small hallway leads toward some more chains. Upon interaction, these are revealed to control horizontal movement for the large hanging objects. Interact with both levers and drag them until fire appears below each of them.
Pull the chain found toward the middle of the hallway to have the large object all the way toward Indy from where it initially rests. The one at the end of the hallway must only be pulled a short amount to have fire burn below it. You can find toward the end of the article an image with all the hanging objects in their correct positions as well.
Once the fire burns below both objects, head to the central room and notice the wooden plank from earlier on the roof. Hang onto it via Indy's whip, and jump onto the marked surface of the hanging object in front of you. Once you have jumped, Indy will signal Gina to help out.
She will move the object toward the other end of the room, and when you get close enough use the whip to hang onto the ledge on the other end of the room. Jump toward it while hanging, and Indy will mantle onto the surface. Head down the hole in the floor to reach a hallway similar to the one previously encountered.
Once again, you need to interact with the chains. The chain found immediately beside you upon falling from the upper level needs to be moved to the center of the room. The one on the other end of the hallway only needs to be pulled a short amount toward Indy to have fire burn below it.
You can also refer to the image below taken from the head of the room near the lever, with all the hanging objects in their correct positions.
Once done, head to the other end of the hallway and use the chain to unlock the door. Head to the main lever at the head of the room and interact with it to unlock the door, and the Gold Trial puzzle will be marked as completed.
