How to solve the Secret of Secrets puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle puts you in the shoes of iconic archeologist Indiana Jones as his adventures take him across the world in search of iconic historical artifacts and items. The journey is often perilous, as there are many hostiles and roadblocks along the way. While on the journey, Indy can also partake in puzzle-solving, which can net some hidden rewards or items in the process.

One such mystery is the Snake in the Garden puzzle, which has you decipher code hidden on some notes in order to unlock a reward locked behind a safe. Below is a guide on completing this quest in the game.

Completing the "A Snake in the Garden" puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

While traversing through the Vatican, you will inevitably find yourself in the Sistine Chapel part of the map. While here, also make sure to take a moment and use Indy's camera. Snap an image of the Sistine Chapel's iconic ceiling, and do the same for some other noteworthy persons, such as Sister Catherine, who is found on the left side of the chapel. These will net you some adventure points.

Make sure to have the Clerical Key you received from Antonio handy. Head to the office connected with the chapel to reach a small room with a safe on a table and a desk beside it. Atop a table near the entry door is a note called Nicoletti's Letter, which tells you to look at "the stars and the saints" to find the code needed to unlock the safe, which contains an important document.

Head to the desk and interact with the drawer to find a planetary chart with eight planets on it. Keep this handy, as it is the key to deciphering the safe code. Head to the two statues of Saint Paul and Saint Peter, and you will notice symbols on the bottom of the statues. Compare these with the chart, and you will notice the symbols to be corresponding with the planets on the chart.

The smudged symbol on the chart is the one seen on the base of the statue of Saint Peter, which is the symbol of Mars and the number 4. Comparing the chart with the symbols of Saint Paul will reveal the numbers to be 7 and 1. The code to be entered into the safe is 4471.

Unlock it, and you will find inside the aforementioned document to be forged. However, underneath it is a mystery note indicating the arrival of a German guest. Also on the lower shelf of the safe is a Cutman book, which can help with faster regeneration of Indy's health bar.
