How to solve the X-ray puzzle in Silent Hill 2 

The recently released horror-survival title Silent Hill 2 appears to be more difficult than the original 2001 game. It becomes pretty evident as you enter the Brookhaven Hospital, as the game will demand you solve a lot of puzzles to progress further. One such puzzle that you will encounter in the hospital will be the X-ray puzzle.

This puzzle will require you to collect all the X-rays scattered around the hospital. Once you have them, you need to spot the markings on them to get the combination of the lock. After you enter this combination, the door will be unlocked, allowing you to move further.

First, you need to find the X-ray Viewer, which is in the X-ay room on the third floor. Fortunately, the room will already be unlocked and will be marked as the 'X-ray Room.' Once you head inside the room and reach this machine, you will find the first X-ray behind you on the bed. This will be the scan of a pelvis. Now, head over to the Doctor's Lounge on the first floor to find the Keypad Combination Note on the notice board.

Using this Keypad Combination Note, open the Nurse's Station Keypad on the second floor using the code 3578. Once this is done, head over to the Treatment Room on the second floor near the Nurse's office. Here, you will find a moldy X-ray.

Head over to the Pantry on the first floor, where you will find a Mold Remover, with which you can clean the mold by combining the two items in your inventory. This will give you an X-ray of a hand.

Head back to the X-ray room on the third floor and place all the collected scans in the X-ray Viewer via your inventory. This will reveal the combination code.

The code is 4-37-12. Enter this code on the lock to get access to the new area behind the door. Fortunately, just like the padlock present in Brookhaven Hospital, you can skip all of these steps and directly enter this code to unlock the door without finding all the X-rays as well.
