Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis DLC is finally here, and the best part is you can access it without needing to complete the base campaign. Although it is an epilogue chapter, unlike Persona 5 Royal's third semester, you don't need to play through the base game.
Similar to the FES release, you can start Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis DLC by using the Change Episode option in the main menu. Once you have loaded in, you’ll find this option in the bottom-right corner of your screen. You can easily switch back to the base game by using the same option again.
Let's take a look at all the new features that you will get access to in Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis DLC.

What is Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis DLC?
For those who have journeyed into the Dark Hours recently, Episode Aigis is the remake of The Answer epilogue, which was added to the game with Persona 3 FES. Instead of Makoto Yuki (P3 protagonist), you follow the footsteps of Aigis, one of the party members in the base game, and explore the Abyss of Time.
The events of Episode Aigis take place on March 31, a few weeks after the ending of Persona 3, where each member of S.E.E.S must face their past, deal with their grief, and learn to move on to the future.
The gameplay is extremely similar to Persona 3's Tartarus exploration, where you will need to explore the Abyss of Time, fight shadows, and uncover the truth behind the weird time loop you and your friends have been trapped in. Similar to Tartarus, you will clear one floor of the dungeon at a time and often encounter stronger enemies who will test your resilience.
However, Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis DLC makes some massive improvements to the overall gameplay given it is a remake. The very first thing you will notice is that it allows you to switch difficulties, something that was absent in The Answer release. The game also provides you with Teleportation Waypoints placed in certain locations that allow you to travel to a safe zone and save your progress.
