Set in an alternate reality involving the real-life site of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster, Stalker 2 has players battle strange anomalies, enemies, and a whole lot of radiation. Among these perils found on the map are emissions, which can occur randomly and have the protagonist Skif take immediate shelter to avoid being affected or possibly killed by them.
Though these can be deadly, it is possible to avoid being affected entirely by hiding and waiting it out in some sort of shelter. Below is a guide on how to do this in the game.

Surviving emissions in Stalker 2
Emissions are occurrences that turn the sky an eerie red and expel lightning from the sky, causing players lots of damage or even killing them. Whenever the indication for an emission comes up, let go of whatever task you were doing and rush to cover, for it can wipe out a lot of health in one fell swoop.
Additionally, there is no way to predict when these can occur, as they take place at random. A radio transmission will be received to notify you of the impending emission. The mission objective will also be updated to notify you to seek shelter at the earliest to survive. There will be little to no time, at best a few minutes before it rolls into the area, so leave any task at hand and seek shelter immediately.
Surviving emissions is possible by heading to a dedicated shelter, which will keep you safe and sound. However, it is highly unlikely that players will always be near a sort of emission shelter at all times during gameplay, so it is imperative to seek alternative shelter.
Head toward a stable structure, such as a house, a cave, or a building, to wait out the emission period. Note that a house exposed to elements such as broken walls or windows can't act as a proper shelter, so avoid such places. If your house has a basement, consider heading down there for a better chance of surviving.
In the end, waiting for a few minutes will see the emission go away, and the same will also be conveyed via another radio transmission notifying Skif of its passing. Remember that emissions occur randomly, so always be wary of the surroundings for viable shelters in case the need to take cover arises at a moment's notice.
