How to switch accounts in Clash of Clans? (2024)

Players may want to switch accounts in Clash of Clans for a few reasons. For instance, they might have multiple profiles or want to experience CoC from the beginning. Veterans of the game also use the feature to do things differently in their new account.

Switching between accounts can be easily done by following a few simple steps. The steps involved in doing this in Clash of Clans are the same for other Supercell games, like Clash Royale, Squad Busters, Brawl Stars, etc.

Steps to switch accounts in Clash of Clans and Other Supercell games

Change accounts through in-game settings

As of July 2024, the only way to switch accounts in Clash of Clans is by using in-game settings. Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Open the game and select Settings (gear icon). This will open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Select the Swap Accounts option, denoted by two arrows. This will prompt a new screen to open. Select Continue to view all Supercell IDs available on the device.

Step 3: If the desired profile is available, select it to successfully swap accounts. If the account is not displayed, select "Log in to Supercell ID."

Step 4: Enter any necessary account information and hit Continue. Select "Remember me on this device" if you wish to keep the information saved on the device. If what you entered is valid, an OTP will be sent to the email. Let the game run in the background and copy the OTP from the email.

Reopen the title and enter the OTP. Subsequently, you may need to redo steps one, two, and the first part of step three. This will log you in from your new account.

After that, you can use it from the "Switch Account" dashboard, which is shown in the image above step four.

If you follow the steps correctly, then you'll be able to log in via a different account. If the game doesn't let you switch to that profile, it may be stuck due to technical issues and will need to be recovered first.
