The quest

To fight the Mecha Garlamash boss in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, first acquire the Ez and the Guild quest. It will unlock after you rescue him and have completed the treasure mountain route with him in the party. Check back on Ez in Valrika's Laboratory to see if the quest has unlocked.

Ez will then suggest a visit to the workshop so he can meet his family there. However, the Guild will shortly arrive there with a new version of Ez's designs, except with the side effect of spawning monsters.

The gimmick

Leo and the team will then need to defeat the Mecha Garlamash boss in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension. While he's identical to the one you fought while saving Tan, this fight has an extra caveat that the game will not give you clear hints on how to avoid it. He will be surrounded by smaller enemies. However, a single hit to a henchman will cause them to self-destruct, dealing massive damage to your party.

While you can brute force through this fight, healing up every time, this strategy won't work in hard mode. Instead, you'll need to acquire a very specific ability for Ez to complete this fight. However, this ability cannot be learned by progressing in the game, instead, it should be acquired from Ez's skill tree, aka his Growth Map.

Acquire the Vacuum ability for Ez, after which the fight will become much easier. Throw down vacuum on either the right or left side of the arena to drag all the cronies there.

With the boss now alone, attack him head-on. However, don't to use attacks with a wide hitbox, such as Ez's grenades, Valrika's Arrow Rain, or Cheryl's Knight Impact. Buff your team between turns to make their attacks stronger.

A particular attack you need to be wary of is the Delay Smash, which will hit the entire party and will delay their next turn, giving the boss a chance to wipe your party off if its at low health.

Rewards

After defeating the Mecha Garlamash boss in FANTASIAN Neo Dimension, you'll get some EXP and gold. Aside from that, you'll fully upgrade Ez's divine artifact, boosting his Item Saver passive skill and allowing him to upgrade his Tension Skill, Infinite Loop.
