This will allow a higher degree of freedom, as the in-game matchmaking will consider the skill rating of both players from various platforms. This PC-console crossplay is being introduced at a time when MouseTrap will force MnK abusers on consoles to compete against PC players following its new update.
Several changes are being introduced in the upcoming season of Rainbow Six Siege Operation Collision Point. From an operator rework to shield nerfs, players can expect matchmaking as well as cheater detection updates.

How to access PC-console crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege
To find and alter the PC-console crossplay setting, first launch the game from your respective game launcher on your preferred platform. Then, follow the steps below:
- Access Settings from the Escape option in the Main Menu.
- Open the General tab in the Settings menu.
- Scroll down to find the Crossplay Matchmaking option below Match Replay which will enable PC-console crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege.
There will be a total of three available options that work in the following ways:
- PC and consoles: Invite and get invited by PC players and other console players. Matchmaking in PC Pool with PC players and other console players.
- Consoles only: Invite and get invited by PC players and other console players. Matchmaking to be in Console Pool or PC Pool depending on the players in the Squad.
- Off: Invite, get invited, and matchmake with only console players.
Note that if Crossplay Matchmaking is set to Off, the quality and speed of matchmaking will decrease. Additionally, PC-console crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege will be deactivated by default when players stack in a Squad of at least two players.

Matchmaking is set to receive a few notable changes in the upcoming seasons out of which PC-Console Crossplay in Rainbow Six Siege is the first to arrive. This comes with an added MouseTrap implementation as BattleEye will detect MnK abusers on Console Matchmaking Pool and force them to queue on PC Poll. After repeated MnK offenses, players will also receive a 90-day ban from the Console Matchmaking Pool.
