The Shah's Mate SMG is a unique firearm in Stalker 2 and one of many modified weapons that cannot be found through exploration. This means you'll need to complete side quests or activities to acquire it. The Shah's Mate SMG is a great close-range weapon to have, especially in the early game, as it has higher stats than the gun it's based on.

The Shah's Mate SMG cannot be looted from regular enemies in Stalker 2. That said, it can be acquired by completing the 'No Honor Among Thieves' side mission found in the Garbage region. However, be careful while completing the quest, as one wrong choice could bar you from getting the weapon.

You can start the side mission in two ways. The first is by heading to the Slag Heap Settlement and speaking with a man named Huron, who'll direct you toward a group of buildings. For the second method, you can encounter these premises yourself to start the mission. The quest will be a drawn-out mystery, focusing on you trying to enter a locked house by climbing on top of a digger to access its roof.

After exploring the roofs and connecting the pieces, Huron will call you. Explain the situation to him and he'll ask you to complete a shipment. Accept this offer to officially start the quest.

Docent

The quest will see Skif meeting with a man named Docent who will immediately try to explain what occurred inside the house. He will offer you a deal — spare his life in exchange for the Shah's stash. Do not reject this offer if you want to acquire the Shah's Mate in Stalker 2. Rejecting it will result in Docent becoming hostile and being killed, restricting your access to the stash.

After accepting this deal, he'll provide the location of the stash and the shipment. Deliver the shipment to complete the mission. Following this, you can rush towards the Shah's stash to find among other items, the Shah's Mate.

The Shah's Mate SMG

This modified version of the Viper-5 is incredible in close quarters, providing a near-perfect rate of fire. It is surprisingly accurate for an SMG. The gun also has a large magazine and three firing modes, providing precise control over your fire pattern.
