Applecore is a great region to explore after you've finished the game. It is filled with exciting activities, and you explore this region twice in God Of War Ragnarok’s main story. It's not until you've acquired the Draupnir Spear that you're free to explore the area and collect everything from the zone.
How to get to Applecore?
Considering you have the Draupnir Spear and have unlocked the Applecore region, let's see how to go there. From the Mystic Gateway in the Aurvangar Wetlands, you can take the North-West ferry to the Sverd Sands. From that point, an elevator descends you down into The Applecore region.
All Collectibles And Activities In The Applecore
Applecore is filled with interesting activities. From finding Draugr Holes to opening Nornir Chests, collectibles include finding artifacts and buried treasure. The list is enormous, and the following are the things that you should discover or complete in Applecore.
Legendary Chests
First Legendary Chest
This chest can be found after your fight with Hateful in the Applecore. This chest contains an attachment for the Leviathan Axe in God Of War Ragnarok. The attachment enhances the defense and staggers resistance during Frost Awakening, creating room for vulnerability during its activation.
Second Legendary Chest
The second legendary chest can only be accessed once you’ve obtained both the Chisel and the Draupnir Spear in the game. You will have to make your way back to the Applecore from the Wetlands and continue until you reach the end of the Jarnsmmida Pitmines. At the end of the Pit Mines, there will be a rune slate. This chest contains the Banahogg Knob which is another attachment for the Leviathan Axe in the game.
The Three Lores in Applecore
Lore 1
The first lore can be found right outside Sindri’s workshop in Applecore, behind a door with sandstone that can be destroyed with Atreus’ sonic arrows.
Lore 2
The second lore is situated relatively close to the first one. There is a water channel just outside the room where the first one was found. Above the channel, a path should follow up to the wood blockage. Break the wood, and the second lore can be found there.
Lore 3
Visit Applecore from Aurvangar Wetlands using the ferry. You'll reach a point where you'll use the Draupnir Spear. It's then used to ascend a cliff upon which a treasure map is also counted as the third lore in Applecore.
