How to unlock the Faker Archetype in Metaphor ReFantazio

Metaphor ReFantazio's detailed campaign and gameplay elements are highly similar to those of Persona 5. However, it does feature key gameplay elements to set itself apart from the latter's series. One key aspect is the ability to choose the character's unique play styles, called Archetypes. One of them is termed Faker and can be unlocked quite early into Alonzo's story.

How to unlock the Faker Archetype in Metaphor ReFantazio

Faker is a Basic Archetype that is part of the Faker lineage and is available after starting the follower story for and befriending Alonzo. When Bond Rank 1 is reached, this Archetype can be unlocked for the price of 1875 MAG.

Faker acts as a support Archetype, as it can be used to unlock skills such as Faker's Roguery, Tarunda, and Rakunda among others. All of these skills can affect the enemy in negative ways, such as temporarily having their attack strength reduced, or bringing down their defenses for a short while.

Here is a list of all the skills that can be unlocked by leveling up the Faker Archetype.

• Faker's Roguery: Chance of inflicting Forget on one enemy. Turns Icons added or removed at random. Unlocked at Level 1.
• Tarunda: Decreases one enemy’s Attack for three turns. Unlocked at Level 3.
• Sukunda: Decreases one enemy's Hit/Evasion for three turns. Unlocked at Level 5.
• Rakunda: Decreases one enemy's Defence for three turns. Unlocked at Level 8.
• Dekaja: Removes all buff effects on all enemies. Unlocked at Level 13.
• Makarakarn: Raises a barrier that repels one elemental attack for one ally. Unlocked at Level 20.

Every skill mentioned above is within the Support skills list, except for Faker's Roguery, which falls under the Almighty skills list. However, note that this Archetype has the Piercing and Wind Weaknesses.
