How to transfer your progress and save from Stellar Blade demo to the full retail version of the game?

Transferring your progress from Stellar Blade demo to the final retail version is a very simple process. You just have to play the demo on your PS5 using the same PSN account you have purchased the full game on. You do need to finish the demo to transfer your save over to the final retail version of Stellar Blade, which can take a while.

You essentially have to complete the prologue (which features a pretty fun and challenging boss fight) and the first chapter of the game, and beat the final boss of the demo - Abbadon. Once you do that, you will receive a pop-up notification mentioning the "Boss Challenge has been unlocked."

Getting this notification is basically the confirmation that you have completed the Stellar Blade demo, and your save file can be transferred to the full-release version of the title.

Stellar Blade combat system, release date, and more explored

While Stellar Blade started its life as a multi-platform title targeting the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, it eventually turned into a PS5 exclusive, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. With the game being a PS5 exclusive, developer Shift Up has crafted what is easily one of the most visually impressive games on the platform.

Stellar Blade got wrapped in a bit of controversy close to its demo's release, but the game received overwhelming praise from players, who liked the fast-paced combat system the game has to offer and the challenging but fair boss fights.

The game's main story does start quite slow but it immediately ramps up the tempo once players get control of the protagonist - EVE. On the surface, the story here feels quite similar to Nier: Automata. However, Shift Up seems to have taken inspiration from not only Yoko Taro's work but also other prominent titles in the action RPG genre.

Additionally, the combat also seems to be a mix between the accessibility of a PlatinumGames title and the difficulty of a FromSoftware game, with a hint of Sekiro or Lies of P. Thankfully, fans won't have to wait too long to get their hands on the game as Stellar Blade is scheduled to be released on April 26, 2024, exclusively for the PS5.
