Since God of War Ragnarok PC is now officially available, it’s important to recognize that you have the option to reduce an element of the game that many players considered intrusive during its initial launch on PlayStation two years ago. However, with the latest PC port release, there's an option to alter the in-game settings.
This guide will highlight all the details about puzzle hints in God of War Ragnarok PC and how you can change the settings around it.

If you are playing God of War Ragnarok PC, you’ll probably be happy to learn that there is now an option to lessen the occurrence of puzzle hints from companion characters. This was a significant concern at the time of the game launch, as these characters frequently offered explicit hints for puzzles before players had the chance to solve them independently.
Upon entering a room, hints would be presented to you before you even had the opportunity to explore the situation. While the accessibility options included a Puzzle Timing setting that allowed players additional time, there was no option in the settings to lessen the number of hints.
However, with the PC port release on September 19, 2024, developers have implemented the change. The Gameplay Settings tab now has an option that allows you to change the puzzle hint setting. As a result, the frequency of puzzle hints provided by your companions will be diminished.

God of War Ragnarok PC features a new audio setting
With the launch of the PC port, the developers have shared a comprehensive blog post detailing the new features debuting in the game. In addition to the puzzle hint settings, they also made adjustments to the audio settings.
By activating the Audio Description option in the Audio Accessibility menu, players will hear audio descriptions of visual events during cinematics. This feature offers corresponding information that complements the spoken dialogue, enhancing the overall experience for players with low vision.
Notably, these settings are set to be incorporated into the PS5 version later.
