How to unlock the EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card for free?

EA Sports has released the first objective player of the Greats of the Game promo in Ultimate Team, with the EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card being up for grabs as its final reward. The English legend has received a 93-rated card with some exceptional stats and PlayStyles, and he also has the potential to be upgraded further as England progress in the EURO tournament.

With this country going to the round of 16 in the EURO, there is plenty of potential for the EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card to be upgraded. The ongoing Greats of the Game promo has already introduced special versions of some of the best Icons in this game. As such, EA including the Englishman as an objective comes as no surprise.

The EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card is now available via an objective in Ultimate Team

The Festival of Football celebrations in Ultimate Team have covered several promos like Path to Glory and Make Your Mark. Numerous objective players were released for free as part of these promos. The EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card is the latest such addition to the Festival of Football.

While it might not be as highly rated as some other objective players, the item can be upgraded further and provides Icon chemistry links.

Similar to the previously released Pascal Gross Make Your Mark card, the EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon item can also be unlocked by completing four challenges. These are the stipulations of each :

• True Attacker: Score eight goals using English attackers in Squad Battles on minimum Semi pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions). Earn an 80+ x 2 players pack and 250 XP.
• Striker's Touch: Score and assist at least one goal per match using English players in four separate Squad Battles on minimum Semi pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions). Earn an 81+ x 2 players pack.
• From Distance: Score three goals from outside the box in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions). Earn an 81+ x 2 players pack.
• Winning Formula: Win 12 matches in Squad Battles on minimum Semi pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions) while having a minimum of three players from England in your starting eleven. Earn an 83+ x 3 players and 250 XP.

Not only will gamers get the EA FC 24 Alan Shearer GOTG Icon card by completing all these challenges, they can also get their hands on some packs and 500 XP to make progress in the latest season of Ultimate Team.
