As mentioned in the post by @OWCavalry on X, today's (December 20, 2024) small patch has introduced the Hazard Golden Gun in Overwatch 2. To unlock it, players will need to spend 3,000 Competitive Points, which are earned exclusively through Overwatch ranked mode.
Competitive Points are primarily earned based on match results. Every win grants 10 and a draw match grants 5 Competitive Points in ranked mode.
Players also get 100 bonus Competitive Points for every 30 games played. This reward can be claimed up to 30 times in a season, allowing players to earn up to 3,000 Competitive Points. Before the competitive progression system, there was a seasonal rewards system based on the final rank of the players at the end of the season. The higher the rank, the bigger the Competitive Points bonus.
