To unlock the Ring of Fire spell in Black Myth Wukong, you first have to progress to Chapter 3. During this chapter, you will face the Macaque Chief multiple times. You will even best this creature in combat twice, but he’ll be able to make a swift escape. Your second-last encounter with it takes place after you reach the Warding Temple.

You will get access to the Warding Temple once you make it out of the Pagoda. Upon reaching the temple, you will have to fight and defeat the Macaque Chief in front of the Hermit.

The Macaque Chief can use a bunch of sword slashes and will also try to inflict frost damage on you. However, this isn’t a tough encounter, and you should have no trouble sweeping the floor with this boss.

After your battle with the Macaque Chief is over, the Hermit will gift the Ring of Fire spell to you. This is more of a defensive spell, and while it has a ton of uses, it suffers because of its positioning.

At any given time, you can either equip the Immobilize or Ring of Fire spell in Black Myth Wukong.
