The most straightforward way is to unlock Videl from the game shop. To access it, go to Shop & Customize from the Main Menu. In the character section, you can buy Videl using 30,000 Zeni. You can play the World Tournaments or finish the episode battles to obtain Zeni in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.

Unlock Videl by progressing in Gohan's Saga

Videl can also be unlocked by completing a mission in Gohan's Saga if you are unsure whether to spend Zeni on it. Furthermore, you must select a specific dialogue during the mission to unlock it.

Follow the steps below to unlock Videl in the title:

• From the Main Menu, go to Episode & Custom → Episode Battle and start Gohan's episode battle.
• Complete the first three chapters: Android/Cell Arc.
• In the Majin Buu Arc (chapter 4), start the first mission: Chaos at the World Tournament.

After a few cutscenes in the mission, you will find Spopovich beating Videl badly. Then, the game will ask you to choose between two options. To unlock Videl, you must select: Attempt to stop the fight.

Afterward, you have to battle against Spopovich using Gohan's Super Saiyan form. Following the victory, Videl will be unlocked as a reward. You will also gain 15,000 Zeni and Player EXP to level up.
