Fae Sight in Metaphor ReFantazio is a support ability from Gallica that lets you access enemy levels and locations at a glance. It is a nifty feature that aids in dungeon exploration and combat, as it lets you quickly understand the difficulty level upon entering a new area. Here is how to use it:
In the overworld, press the LT or L2 key on your controller to bring up Fae Sight. The Fae Sight will mark the nearby enemies with red, yellow, blue, or white colors.
- Red means the enemy is higher than your level
- Yellow means the enemy is on par or slightly higher than you
- Blue means the enemy can be easily defeated in the overworld.
- White means you have not encountered this enemy type yet.
When encountering an enemy marked in white, Gallica will record their level and display the appropriate color next time you fight them.

How to use Fae Sight for grinding in Metaphor ReFantazio
When you scan a field for enemies using Fae Sight, they will be marked a certain color. Enemies marked in blue can be killed in the overworld without combat, while red, white, and yellow must be defeated in the traditional turn-based battle.
You will still take damage if a blue-colored enemy attacks you, but it will not start the combat. Hence, for grinding purposes, it is recommended to attack blue-colored enemies using a fast or long-range weapon like a crossbow to preserve health while accelerating the grinding process.
This will allow you to skip the traditional turn-based combat for lower-level enemies for easier and faster grinding of Reeves, EXP, A-EXP, and MAG.
As for grinding enemies marked in red, yellow, or white by the Fae Sight, try to attack the enemies before they hit you, as the first to land an attack always gets a huge advantage in turn-based battles.
