How to use flashlight in Stalker 2

Stalker 2 takes place in a fictional recreation of the real Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, an area that was devastated by a deadly nuclear disaster almost 40 years ago. In the game, the disaster creates several unexplained phenomena, including anomalies and mutated hostile creatures. Additionally, much of the map has been affected by radiation and swarming with foes who will shoot you on sight.

The game also features a detailed day/night cycle, and while it is ideal to always explore during the day there may be some instances where you are forced to explore the map in the dark.

Fortunately, you're provided with a flashlight and it makes traversal easier at night or in areas with little to no lighting. Below is a guide on how to use the flashlight in the game, and avoid being left in the dark (rather literally).

Using the flashlight in Stalker 2

The flashlight is an accessory that is made available very early in the game. Using it requires just a press of a key, though it may also be toggled from the weapon wheel should you wish to do so. The controls for different control schemes have been listed below:

• PC: Press the middle mouse button to toggle the flashlight, or hold Tab and use E to toggle the flashlight on and off from the weapon wheel.
• Xbox Controller: Hold the left bumper (LB) and press right on the D-Pad to enable the flashlight from the weapon wheel. Alternatively, press RB to toggle it on and off.
• PlayStation Controller: Hold L1 and press right on the D-Pad to enable the flashlight from the weapon wheel.

Fret not about losing power or requiring to scourge for batteries around the map to power the flashlight, as it can be used indefinitely. This makes traversing through dark areas less dangerous and allows for easier exploration of the map during the night.

Simply remember the combination of Tab/E for PC, and L1/LB and D-Pad right for controllers to quickly activate the flashlight.
