The best way to use the Gun Shield Generator in Apex Legends
The Gun Shield Generator in Apex Legends is a Legendary Hop-Up that can only be used by the LMGs. As such, you will have to select the L-Star, Spitfire, or other weapons in this category to apply it on.
When you have a Light Machine Gun with this perk equipped, you will be able to utilize the Hop-Up by ADS-ing the weapon. The shield can absorb 40 damage before breaking. However, you don't have to worry, as it will regenerate after a bit.
The best way to use this Gun Shield Hop-Up is to pick Rampart. This is one of the best Legends to pair with this perk, as she can gain additional support from it when shooting at enemies while standing behind her Amped Cover. Additionally, when enemies are close, she can just ADS to absorb the first wave of damage dealt by them, gaining an upper hand in the fight.
Moreover, if enemies close in on you or you push an enemy while you are not near a cover, you can use the Gun Shield Generator in Apex Legends as a temporary cover and get to a safe spot before losing too much HP.
Do not pair Gibraltar with this Hop-Up as its shield and his passive ability, Gun Shield, do not stack with each other.
