Using weapons in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

In some situations, Indy's fists can prove to be the best weapon. In terms of actual weapons, there are mainly three types — Indy's iconic whip, guns, and some melee items that can be used temporarily. The whip and revolver are on the player at all times. As for the controls, use E on PC and X on the Xbox controller to equip weapons, and use LMB or the right trigger to use them.

Below are some details about each of them:

The whip can prove to have multiple utilities. It can be used to attack enemies and also for traversal. It can help pull some levers that may be beyond reach. Dogs can also be scared off by using the whip, rendering it essential to get around without having to use a gun.

Guns

Indy has his own revolver, but he can also use weapons dropped by other enemies. However, do remember that such weapons cannot be stashed, and, as a result, can only be used for some time until they run out of ammo. Additionally, guns can be very loud.

As a result, use them only if you are prepared to fight off the enemies you attract by doing so. Consider using guns as melee weapons to avoid drawing too much attention, but note that they break after some time. Additionally, bullets are also available rather sparingly across the map, so adequate ammunition may not be available at all times.

Melee weapons

Various items can be found while exploring that can be used as makeshift melee weapons. Be it wrenches, bottles, shovels, hammers, and more — if the item is highlighted, it can be picked up and used as a melee weapon. Do note that these can also break after a period of time.

Fists

Though not necessarily considered a weapon as per the definition, Indy's fists are rather useful while in combat. Enemies can be taken down simply with the correct use of fists, which can be a boon if there are no melee weapons nearby or if ammunition reserves are running low.
