Following the advent of Ubisoft’s latest FPS title XDefiant, community players are hopping onto the servers eagerly to experience the game's unique aspect. Players worldwide are already giving numerous mixed feedback. Some complain about the net code issues, while others mention it as a “better alternative to Call of Duty”.

In a post on X from @XDefiantAlters, the movement shooter enthusiasts were asked to rate their XDefiant’s gameplay experience from 1 to 10. @F1sT shared his positive feedback in the post, saying they enjoy the Ubisoft title more than CoD.

Another fan rated the game 8.5/10, making fun of the current situation regarding SBMM issues. However, they also mentioned the improved TTK (Time-to-Kill) in XDefiant gives an upper hand in hip firing and aiming. Additionally, they also mentioned the experience they gained from Ubisoft’s new title, helping them to “land better shots” in CoD.

After giving a 7.5/10 rating, one fan expressed his honest opinion on the game, saying this should be the proper example of an arcade shooter. They also mentioned getting a better experience with XDefiant than the newer CoD titles.

@VicariousNick also rated the game 7.5 out of 10, for now, pointing out the current XP grind system as ridiculous. They suggested making the XP gain a little faster so that players can complete the challenges and finish the Battle Pass quickly. On the other hand, they also demanded adding more game modes to XDefiant such as Deathmatch, to make the game more exciting.

In between all the mixed comments on X, one user @Duhpawzz criticized the developers, suggesting to be creative instead of trying to be a potential CoD killer.

Another user @Jordy_vD_ expressed how the new movement shooter brings back nostalgia for the former CoD titles. However, they pointed out some of the major flaws in the game, expecting Ubisoft developers to put an end to it.

While some comments were generous, one user shared their discontentment with the game and became furious about certain issues, including net code, SBMM, and others.

@FenrirBoi commented:

"4/10, Feels like s**t, net code is horrendous, getting killed behind walls and my shots do nothing, and no SBMM feels literally no different than having it for me so idk why people act like it's a big deal."

Is XDefiant a better alternative to CoD?

As mentioned earlier, XDefiant is a fairly new game title in the scene. It’ll be too early for players to conclude if the movement shooter is a better alternative to CoD. However, according to the community, the movement and shooting mechanics somehow resemble the older CoD titles. And some players really enjoy the game more than CoD.

Despite providing a great experience, the shooter has its fair share of cons. While players praised the movement mechanics of the movement shooter, most of them complained about the net code and hit registration issue. Players are getting frustrated and facing poor experiences. Hence, the developers must look into this issue before it’s too late, and provide the community with a hassle-free experience.
