IEM Oakland ends in style

Player Unknown's BattleGrounds saw eight games played over two days at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.

After securing a win and several Top 5 finishes, Against All Authority won the 1st IEM Oakland Championship for a European team. Digital Chaos scored their 2nd victory, or Chicken Dinner, of the tournament, but it wasn't enough with AAA getting the bonus points for kills on top of points for placement in each game. FaZe Clan and Noble ended up with the most kills, with 39 each, but Noble's inconsistency ensured only a ninth-place finish with 1175 points.

Ninjas in Pyjamas repeat as champions of IEM Oakland

Ninjas in Pyjamas took on FaZe Clan in the Grand Finals of the CS:GO tournament. NiP entered the tournament as the defending champions while both teams entered the knockout stage of the tournament as group winners.

Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated FaZe Clan 16-10 on Cobblestone. The series started with a closely contested first half, NiP winning claim it 9-6.

FaZe Clan defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 16-7 on Inferno though. FaZe Clan had the first of their two double-digit rounds with an 11 round first half on the Terrorist side.

Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated FaZe Clan 16-10 on Train. NiP was able to get a few bombs to detonate on the Terrorist side.

FaZe Clan defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 16-6 on Overpass. FaZe Clan were dominant from the get-go with a 13-round first-half performance against their Swedish rivals on the Counter-Terrorist side.

Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated FaZe Clan 16-10 on Cache. It took NiP three tries to end the series and secure their 2nd straight IEM Oakland Championship.
