Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has been one of the more dynamic seasons the game has seen in a while. Epic Games has constantly been adding and removing items to not only make the gameplay more exciting but also keep things balanced for players within the post-apocalyptic landscape. One such item has been the Combat AR, the revamped version of the previously released assault rifle, modified to accommodate Weapon Mods.

While initially the Combat AR could only be acquired by defeating The Machinist and obtaining her Mythic weapon, Epic Games recently reintroduced the base version of the weapon to the loot pool. Needless to say, players are having their fair share of fun with the weapon.

This is highlighted by a recent Reddit clip shared by u/imalonexc, where the player, was seen donning the Slumber Outfit and using the new Combat AR to mow down an enemy with ease. Upon witnessing the power of the Combat AR in the Reddit clip, the community expressed a flurry of emotions, with Reddit user u/Beleiverofhumanity suggesting how they would assume the tracking on the weapon is aimbot and stating:

"If I saw that on replay I would def think aimbotting"

How to get the Combat AR in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3?

The Combat AR was recently introduced to the loot pool with the v30.10 update for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, replacing the Warforged Assault Rifle in Chapter 5 Season 2. While the weapon is undoubtedly powerful, it is not rare by any means and all rarities of the Combat AR can be found in Chests and floor loot.

Since the Combat AR now accommodates Weapon Mods, players can customize it to fit their playstyle. However, if you want to go for the really powerful version of the weapon, you can always find and defeat The Machinist at Redline Rig to acquire her already modded-out Combat AR.
