Potential fixes for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle crashing on PC
1) Update your GPU drivers
If your graphics card drivers are not up to date, this might lead to several performance issues while gaming. If you use an NVIDIA graphics card, you can update the drivers using the GeForce Experience software. If you use an AMD GPU, you can get the latest drivers via the AMD Adrenalin Edition software.
2) Verify game files
If your game files are damaged or corrupted by any means, it can also lead to the game crashing or performing terribly. To resolve this issue, verify the integrity of your game files by following these steps:
- Launch Steam on your PC.
- Open your Game Library.
- Right-click on the game and open Properties.
- Browse through all the options and go to the Installed Files tab.
- Select "Verify Integrity of Game Files" and let Steam analyze everything.
3) Poor ventilation and overheating issues
If your PC has poor ventilation, this might be another reason why the game performs terribly. Open the side panel of your CPU and clean any accumulated dust. Moreover, make sure that you have enough fans to keep the temperatures stable.
4) Turn off frame generation
Frame generation technologies like DLSS from Nvidia and FSR from AMD can be game changers in some titles, as they help boost the visuals of the game as well as provide some extra FPS. However, in some instances, they can also lead to dips in performance. To fix this, follow these steps:
- Open Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's game settings.
- Under the "Video" tab, navigate through the options and find "DLSS Frame Generation".
- Turn this "Off".
