Indiana Jones and the Great Circle walkthrough: How to complete the Sanctuary of the Guardians fieldwork

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle sees Indy travel across the world in search of priceless historical artifacts, accompanied by Gina. On this journey, Indy encounters many stoppages along the way, some of which are seen in the Sanctuary of the Guardians fieldwork.

The sidequest involves Indy traversing deep underground below the Sphinx along with Gina, and the blockages they face along the way. Below is a guide on completing this fieldwork in the game.

Completing the Sanctuary of the Guardians fieldwork in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Reach Gina's contact Nawal's tent in Gizeh, and Gina will be monitoring some radio frequencies. Speak with her to uncover information about a dig happening at the Sphinx site. Head outside the tent to begin the fieldwork, and follow the marker to reach an underground entrance. However, as the place is crawling with soldiers, consider using the Wehrmacht disguise to avoid having to sneak around.

Head downstairs and turn right to find Gina waiting for you. Pick up and equip the dig site outfit, and read the logbook entry from the tables near her. The objective will update to now needing you to find the Golden Medallion. Reach the nearby Nazi camp and enter the large tent with multiple soldiers outside it. Follow the marker to find the medallion lying on the table. From the drawer below, also claim a Jack card.

Return to the Sphinx's entrance, and head near Gina with the medallion. Interact with the door and rotate the medallion right to open it. Avoid the huge hole in the ground and reach the dark hallway.

Equip the lighter, as the path ahead is too dark. If you don't have one, buy it from the market. Pulling the lever will begin a cutscene in which Indy almost dies. Once it ends, look toward the roof and use the whip to grapple down.

Notice on the wall just below the lever a small crawlspace. Head through it, and once Indy can stand, look above to find a point to grapple up. Head up and go toward the room on the right. Pull the chain to open the door that previously almost killed Indy. Use the nearby open doorway opposite the chain to head down and then follow Gina. Ignite the nearby dish and take a picture of the mural on the wall.

Head deeper into the room and reach the area with the Gold Mask. Follow the detailed steps laid out in the article linked below to solve the Gold Mask Mirror Puzzle. Once done, a cutscene will take place where Indy and Gina fall deeper underground.

This area is full of scorpions, so quickly pull out the lighter and help ignite Gina's torch. Pull the nearby chain to unlock a door, and find a torch for Indy as well. Gina will mention that there seems to be a weak wall that can be broken. Head toward the throne Gina was sitting on and find a hammer on the ground. Use it to break the wall.

Re-equip the torch to clear up some of the debris blocking the path beyond the newly broken wall. There are more scorpions here, so use the torch to disperse them. Head across and through the small gap. You will reach a room with a large statue, which is called the Statue of Light. Follow the detailed steps outlined in the article below to unlock it and proceed forth.

Once the puzzle is solved, a doorway will open. Head through it, turn left, and use the lighter for better visibility. Follow the marker, and you will eventually reach a room with broken tiles below you, so jump over it. When prompted, help boost Gina to the upper level. She will use the light reflecting from the mirror to keep scorpions at bay.

Gina will point to a ledge Indy can use to get across, so head toward the scorpions and use the ledge to shimmy across. When you land, more scorpions will be awaiting you. Use the lighter as a makeshift light source and use the stairs nearby to regroup with Gina. Head deeper inside, using the lighter to brighten the path. Head left at the juncture with the large statue to reach the area with the Protector Stele.

Use the opened door on the right and head across, but be wary of a scorpion pit along the way. Reach the door and activate the lever beside it to unlock it. Head through the door and return to the Sphinx's entrance point to trigger the final cutscene. You will also receive 400 Adventure points for your troubles.
