Iron Sting is a craftable Sword that can be made using materials found from the overworld as well as weekly boss drops. It has an Elemental Mastery substat and its passive increases all damage done by a set % after dealing elemental damage. This makes it an attractive option for any character, as long as they don’t mind the EM substat.

Non-Ascended
Iron Sting has a silver color with its blade guard glowing a faint white, and its handle a dark blue with a brown pommel.

Iron Sting transforms into a bright white with golden accents along its blade. The core of its guard is now glowing gold, whilst its outer edges have now lost their coloration. The handle is now significantly brighter.

FAQs
Is the Iron Sting good?
While it has one of the stronger weapon passives for a 4-Star Sword, it is unfortunately hampered by its Elemental Mastery substat, which limits how broad its appeal is to potential users. For those who don’t mind it however, it is very much a strong option.
Who are the best users of Iron Sting?
Kazuha is one of its most optimal users. With his Anemo Element and built in scaling with Elementary Mastery, he makes great use both the substats and the passive.
Is Iron Sting BiS for anyone?
It is one of Kazuha’s strongest 4-Star options, although it is greatly outclassed by his signature weapon Freedom Sworn.
Final Thoughts
The biggest strength Iron Sting has going for it is its availability. It is a 4 star sword that can be acquired with materials purely found within the game. That alone makes it an attractive option for low spending and F2P players. It also has a niche for reaction based characters and compositions. While it is quite narrow in its potential userbase, these things along give it some value, so don’t be afraid to invest in it if this is the case for you.
