Black Myth Wukong is one of the most anticipated games of 2024. Despite being marketed as a soulslike, which is mostly considered a niche genre, developer Game Science's upcoming title has ended up garnering quite a bit of popularity. This is partially due to its phenomenal graphical presentation, courtesy of Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.
Currently, Black Myth Wukong is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). The pre-order details were revealed quite recently, during the Summer Game Fest 2024. And much like any other modern AAA release, Game Science's upcoming title comes in multiple different versions.
While this title's Standard Edition might be the best option for many players, some may consider getting the Black Myth Deluxe Edition just to get access to its in-game bonuses. However, is this version worth getting, or should you just stick to the Standard one?

Should you buy Black Myth Wukong Deluxe Edition?
To be fair, a lot of what Black Myth Wukong's Deluxe Edition has to offer can be easily obtained in-game since the majority of it is basically cosmetic content either for the Destined One or his staff, main weapon. As such, there's no reason to grab this version unless you want access to those cosmetics right from the get-go.
Additionally, the Deluxe Edition also comes with a digital soundtrack, which might be something some players will find interesting and worth investing the extra $10 in. However, it's still something that most players will be just fine missing out on.
What's included in Black Myth Wukong Deluxe Edition?
As is the case with most premium versions of games nowadays, the Black Myth Wukong Deluxe Edition comes with a handful of cosmetics for the Destined One (the game's protagonist) and an early unlock of one of this character's weapons, the Bronzecloud Staff. Apart from that, this version of the title also offers Curio Wind Chimes.
The Deluxe Edition's digital soundtrack gives you access to a few tracks from the game. Surprisingly, this premium version doesn't include an art book.
Here's a breakdown of this title's two different editions:
Standard Edition ($59.99)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus
Deluxe Edition ($69.99)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus
- Bronzecloud staff
- Folk Opera mask
- Folk Opera Almsgiving armor
- Folk Opera leather bracers
- Folk Opera buskins
- Wind chimes
- Selected digital soundtrack
As for this game's pre-order bonus, it includes the Trailblazer Scarlet Gourd. This, from the looks of it, seems like an alternate skin for the healing gourd that the Destined One carries with him.
