Is Civilization 7 Founders Edition worth it?

If you're new to the franchise and want to experience the base game (which already has a lot of content), the Civilization 7 Founders Edition may not be the best option. You will be able to sink dozens, if not hundreds, of hours into the base game alone.

Given this is a 4X turn-based strategy game, you'll be restarting multiple times just to learn how things work. Furthermore, with quite a few Leaders and Civs to choose from, you'll have more than enough to keep yourself busy. It will take a very long time to perfect any Leader or Civ itself, forget about even mastering the game.

That said, if you are a veteran of the franchise and have survived Nuclear Gandhi, Civilization 7 Founders Edition will be of great value. It grants access to content, cosmetics, and DLCs that are lined up for later this year.

Additionally, Civilization 7 Founders Edition will also give you access to the game five days before it officially launches on February 11, 2025. If you're a hardcore fan and would like to jump into the game early, this is a viable option for you to consider.

Unfortunately, Civilization 7 will not be coming to Game Pass. You will have to purchase it outright to play.
