Is Darth Vader in Star Wars Outlaws?

Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft's first foray into making a Star Wars game was recently released on PS5, PC, and Xbox platforms. The title takes us through the story of Kay Vess, traversing the vast world of Toshara with her sidekick, Nix, fending off those hunting her down as she seeks freedom and a new life. This rebellious character rides around on a Speeder and pulls off heists to make ends meet.

However, being a Star Wars game, fans have a pertinent question: does Darth Vader show up in the game? The answer is yes, the iconic Sith Lord does appear during the game's story, though he doesn't feature as prominently as fans might expect him to.

Here's a rundown of Darth Vader's cameos in the game.

Darth Vader's appearance in Star Wars Outlaws

Darth Vader isn't a major character in the game, though he shows up twice during the story. First is when he walks into the office of Silro Barsha, the main villain. Vader is upset with Silro's failure to capture any rebels and even terms his mission a failure. Vader uses the Force to destroy some glass and aims it at Silro when he dares to speak back.

A bit deeper into the story, Vader appears as a holographic image, this time talking to Jaylen Vrax. Jaylen is linked with the main character, Kay, and is later revealed to be Silro's brother. Vader here informs Jaylen about the fate of Silro, who he says has “outlived his purpose.”

Star Wars Outlaws cameos

Apart from Darth Vader, a few other iconic Star Wars characters make cameos throughout the story. One of the more prominent characters is Jabba the Hutt, who is integral to the game's storyline. He provides Kay with tasks and can even become an ally.

Lando Calrissian also appears in the game; you'll see him gambling at a Sabbac table. He can also provide Kay with quests and offer guidance, should you accept his quests.
