Ahead of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's launch, players can pre-purchase the fast-paced fighter's base game and DLC content. This includes the Season Pass, which aims to further extend the lifespan of the iconic Jump series' latest entry with new content to keep players coming back for more after they are done with the core experience.

However, the Season Pass may not be worth buying, despite the new content it offers. Let's check out everything included in this package and see how good its offerings are.

What is included in the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Season Pass?

The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Season Pass allows access to the following content:

  • DLC Packs 1, 2, and 3: Over 20 new characters (including those from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie and Dragon Ball: Daima)
  • Season Pass Bonus: Shenron Summon
  • 3 days early access to the DLC Packs

The most appealing aspect is no doubt the nearly two-dozen new characters. Right now, there are 181 characters in the base game, so these additions should raise that number to over 200 once the content becomes available, the release date of which is yet to be confirmed. Season Pass owners will also get access to these characters three days prior to launch.

Shenron is an iconic character from the series, and this free Summon in the Season Pass allows players to obtain in-game goodies, such as currency, outfits, and more.

This brings us to the big question: Is it worth buying? For hardcore fans, no doubt especially if they liked the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie or look forward to the Dragon Ball: Daima series. Casual fans may want to wait and see if the new characters appeal to them.

It should also be noted that the Season Pass is included by default in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game, and players are better off getting those renditions over buying it separately.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms on October 11, 2024.
