With the gaming industry moving away from last-gen consoles, Indiana Jones decided to follow suit. At launch, the game will be exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Unfortunately, this means Nintendo Switch players will have to wait—or possibly miss out on a direct/native version altogether.
This Bethesda-published title is quite graphically demanding and it would be hard to port it over to the Nintendo Switch. Even if it were to be released on Nintendo's console, it could end up being a cloud version, similar to how other demanding games like Resident Evil Village have been made available.
Cloud gaming allows Nintendo Switch players to access high-end games by streaming them from powerful servers, but comes with its own set of challenges, including the requirement of a stable and fast internet connection.
Meanwhile, people who are interested in purchasing the game on PC and Xbox can opt for the Premium edition.

What’s included in the Premium Edition and why it's worth it?
The Premium Edition offers more than just the base game. Here’s what you get with it:
- Base Game
- The Last Crusade Pack
- Three Days Early Access
- The Order of Giants Story DLC
- Digital Artbook
- Temple of Doom Outfit
The Premium Edition lets you play three days early and provides exclusive content, like The Order of Giants Story DLC and the Temple of Doom outfit. If you go with the Standard Edition (which has the Last Crusade Pack) or play via Xbox Game Pass, you’ll miss out on these bonuses, which could detract from the full experience.
Graphics and Performance
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle should be well-optimized for the Xbox Series X/S as the platform will offer a host of features like:
- 4K Ultra HD
- HDR10
- Single Player Mode
- Variable Refresh Rate
- Ray Tracing
- 60 FPS+
- Dolby Atmos Audio
- PC Game Pad Compatibility
Apart from ensuring a consistent 60 FPS on both Xbox consoles, the developers also took special care to not compromise on the graphical fidelity and overall gameplay experience. So, from the looks of it, the upcoming AAA title is shaping up to be a visually stunning and immersive experience for players!
