Clash of Clans is among the most popular titles globally because of its kingdom or village-building mechanics that demand consistent visits to the game and upgrades to its various buildings and troops. This is done by collecting in-game currencies via multiplayer raids, which allow you to collect Trophies, progress further, and unlock different Town Halls.

After reaching a high-tier position in terms of Trophies and Town Hall and collecting numerous exclusive collectibles, such as Hero Skins, Village sceneries, and other decors, your Clash of Clans account certainly becomes an asset that could yield a lucrative sum in the gaming market. This is why many players often look for a buyer to sell their accounts to after accomplishing such a position.

It is thus important to note that buying or selling a COC account is illegal.

Why buying or selling a Clash of Clans account is illegal

On its official website, Supercell's Terms and Conditions page clarifies that selling, buying, or giving your COC account to someone else is against its Terms of Service. Therefore, those who do so would violate these regulations and can be punished with a permanent ban from the developer.

Why it's unsafe to sell, purchase, or give away your Clash of Clans account

Countless reasons oblige the developer to keep players from buying or selling a COC account. For starters, such trade lies beyond any sort of institution and is illegal since every profile is for the personal use of its corresponding owner. Consequently, there's a probability that the seller can trick the buyer and run away with their money without giving access to the account.

Chances are that the seller will never stop using the sold account or is selling it to multiple people. Moreover, since it's an unknown account, the buyer can lose it anytime, considering the probability of it being already poised for a permanent ban.

Bought accounts are never secure, as the developer never provides any support to them. Lastly, Supercell blocks access to purchase any in-game item, such as Sceneries and Skins, in the sold accounts, keeping the buyer from having the real COC experience.

How to keep your game safe in Clash of Clans

Creating a Supercell ID is the most convenient and free way of keeping your game safe in Clash of Clans. All it requires is an email address that hasn't been associated with another Supercell ID, heading to the in-game setting, and clicking the disconnected button under the Supercell ID icon.

After this, you must enter a verification code sent to the filled-in email address, and then you're good to go.
