CI Games and Hexworks' Lords of the Fallen is arguably one of the most anticipated releases of this year, especially for fans of the Souls-like action role-playing game genre. As a spiritual successor to the original "Souls-like" title that essentially kick-started the genre of games inspired by FromSoftware's "Souls" games, Lords of the Fallen has a lot to live up to.
Judging from the early reviews of the game from critics and players alike, CI Games' latest role-playing title is fairing incredibly well, and, for the most part, it is positive. It is also one of the few current-gen-only Souls-like games out there. Other titles of this genre that were released this year were mostly cross-generational games.
And with the game's recent launch, some players might be wondering whether Lords of the Fallen, akin to titles like Lies of P and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, is available day-one on Xbox Game Pass or not.

Lords of the Fallen is not available on Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC
Unfortunately, CI Games' latest Souls-like game is not coming to Xbox Game Pass. Although Lords of the Fallen is not available on Xbox Game Pass, it is still available for the Xbox Series X/S alongside PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
CI Games do bring their games quite regularly to services like Xbox Game Pass and even PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, with their latest title, Sniper Elite, being recently added to the PS+ line-up of free games.
As such, it is possible that the game might eventually end up getting added to Xbox Game Pass for players to try out at no additional cost. Developed using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.1, CI Games and Hexworks' latest Souls-like role-playing game is arguably one of the best-looking current-gen titles released this year.
Alongside the visual flourishes, the game also features an immaculate level design, allowing players to travel between two overlapping worlds (Axiom and Umbral) with just the press of a button. CI Games' latest Souls-like also offers plenty of depth with a robust combat system, giving players a multitude of options to tailor their builds based on their preferred playstyle.
Lastly, much like any other Souls-like title out there, Lords of the Fallen features some truly challenging and terrifying bosses that not only serve as a test of players' combat abilities but also ingenuity and adaptability. The game is offered in two different editions, a $70 Standard Edition and a $80 Deluxe Edition, featuring the base game as well as a few in-game bonuses.
