Is Marvel Rivals coming to Nintendo Switch?

As per official announcements from NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals will not be coming to Nintendo Switch. Other consoles of the same generation, such as the PS4, and the Xbox One will also not feature the upcoming Hero shooter. If you want to participate in the Closed Beta program, you have to come up with a solution to acquire any of the latest generation consoles, or a PC.

All compatible platforms supporting Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals will only be compatible with the following platforms:

• Microsoft Windows
• macOS
• Xbox Series X
• Xbox Series S
• PS5

As stated above, players with older generation consoles, such as the Nintendo Switch, or those that operate their PC on Linux OS will not be able to play this game.

How to register for Marvel Rivals Closed Beta?

1) PC

If you're on a PC, there are two ways to gain access to the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta program:

Steam

• Launch the Steam client and log in.
• Go to the official Marvel Rivals store page.
• Scroll below and locate the prompt for "Join Playtest". Click on it and confirm the prompt.

Upon validation from the developers, you will be able to pre-load the game before its Closed Beta launch.

Twitch

NetEase Games will also offer several keys for free through their Twitch Drops program. Here's how you can secure one for yourself:

• Open Twitch.tv on your preferred browser and log in. If you do not have an account proceed to sign up and connect your Steam account with Twitch.
• Go to a participating channel that has the 'Drops-enabled' tag on their stream.
• Watch the given stream for the prescribed period (yet to be disclosed officially).
• When you complete the watch time requirement, head to your profile. Proceed to the 'Drops and Reward' option. Locate the Key that you've just earned and claim it.

Upon doing so, you will get access to the game through Steam. The drop program will begin on July 25, 2024, till July 28, 2024. Make sure you complete the watch time requirement during these three days to potentially get your hands on a free access key for the game.

2) Console

The registration period for consoles has already concluded as of writing this article (July 21, 2024). However, if you have friends who have received confirmation for the Closed Beta access for Marvel Rivals, you can receive a free code from them. To do so, they must:

• Play the game during the Closed Beta Test.
• Complete in-game quests upon the game's Closed Beta release.

As they finish these tasks, they will be offered free shareable access key codes.
