MultiVersus server status (May 28, 2024) explored

As of writing, MultiVersus is indeed facing server problems on a few fronts. This is even though developers have chosen to stagger server launch, so players across regions and platforms have been periodically let in to log into the game. The first set of waves includes console users across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

This has not stopped several issues from cropping up, however. For one, the Xbox platform is running into issues concerning in-game purchases. While this is a smaller blip in the bigger picture, many players reported the game crashing on their consoles, causing them to exit the dashboard. This is on top of the failure to log in in the first place.

Here are some possible solutions for MultiVersus server issues. Note that while PC servers have not gone live yet, this applies to users on those platforms as well if they are facing these issues:

Retry logging in after some time

While players are unable to log in at a given time, they may want to wait briefly before retrying. This could allow them to login but there is no 100% guarantee.

Wait for further updates from the developer

First-day launches of online titles are expectedly rocky, and if players are still unable to log in despite these solutions, they have no choice but to wait for official acknowledgment from developer Player First Games. This is particularly aimed at players facing issues regarding purchases as well as crashing on their platform of choice.

Note that while the console maintenance period is over, PC will be active until 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM UTC. Only after this period will PC players be able to log in to MultiVersus servers.
