Note that this edition is only available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. While the game is available on Nintendo Switch as well, the Hall of Fame Edition will be skipping Nintendo's hybrid console. Furthermore, the digital version of this edition will only be available until September 8, 2024 - so the clock is ticking.
That said, is this rendition worth picking up? While the 100,000 VC (120,000 VC in total if pre-ordered), MyCAREER bonuses and MyTEAM goodies are great out of the box, they are also in the $99.99 All-Stars Edition. The notable bonuses are the 12-month NBA League Pass Subscription and the Season 1 Pro Pass.
The former is the NBA's subscription service allowing players to watch NBA games on demand while the Season 1 Pro pass is an in-game rewards battle pass. As such, unless players are huge NBA fans and do not have a subscription to the League Pass, this is not worth spending on - especially since both the Pro Passes and Hall of Fame passes can be also bought separately.
NBA 2K25 is set to launch on September 8, 2024, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
