Earlier, it was only available on newer generation consoles. In a surprising turn of events, 2K developers implemented it on the PC edition. NBA 2K25 next-gen is now finally available on PC
As discussed, based on the PC FAQ section of the NBA 2K25, players will get access to the next-gen version for the first time on their system. This feature is catered to provide the highest true-to-life basketball experience by using the advanced ProPlayTM technology.
This newer tech will allow PC players to experience “enhanced realism,” offering better frame rates, sharper images, upgraded resolution, and other elevated aspects. This will also let them complete in modes like The W, The City, and MyNBA.

All available platforms for the NBA 2K25 next-gen
Official sources state that a handful of players can get their hands on the brand-new virtual basketball game across several popular platforms, including PC and Consoles. PC players worldwide can access the game from Steam. Based on the 2K developers, players must keep at least 150 GB of space to ensure a smooth downloading experience.
Meanwhile, console users like PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S users can also access the game at a slightly different time. Like PC users, they must keep 150 GB of disk space to ensure a smooth download. Unfortunately, older-generation consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series One players won’t be able to experience the upgraded ProPlayTM technology.
As the title is now released on several platforms, players can grab their NBA 2K25 editions from their respective stores (PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam).
