With the arrival of Super Mega Ultrawatch, fans have been treated to the Overwatch 2 Season 11 Battle Pass. The latest rewards progression system for this season will allow players to grind through 80 tiers of all-new cosmetics inspired by superhero shows such as Power Rangers and Kamen Rider - that is if players choose to buy the Premium pass that allows access to all rewards.

That said, is it worth the asking price of 1000 Coins or $10? Furthermore, what about the more expensive Ultimate Battle Pass? Here are our thoughts on whether players should invest in the Overwatch 2 Season 11 Battle Pass.

Before we conclude anything, it is important to take a look at all tiers in the Overwatch 2 Season 11 Battle Pass. To summarize, here are the highlights:

Premium Rewards

  • 80 Mythic Prisms
  • Ultrawatch Reaper (Legendary)
  • Port De-Paix Mauga (Legendary)
  • Ultrawatch Sojourn (Legendary)
  • Lifeguard Lucio (Legendary)
  • Lifeguard Junkrat (Legendary)
  • Ultrawatch Genji (Legendary)

Free Rewards

  • 200 Overwatch Coins
  • 2000 Overwatch Credits
  • Ultrawatch Wrecking Ball (Epic)
  • Butterfly Symmetra (Epic)

Since Mythic skins are no longer purchasable in the shop, players must spend 80 Mythic Prisms to buy one from the new Mythic Skins Shop - and these are only obtainable if players have the Premium or Ultimate Battle Passes. For Overwatch 2 Season 11, players can choose to buy the Calamity Empress Ashe Mythic Skin; alternately, if they choose to get some other hero's Mythic, they must wait two seasons for the Ashe Mythic to return to the Mythic Shop.

Coming back to the Overwatch 2 Season 11 Battle Pass, while the beach/summer-themed skins are nice, they do not fit into the season's theme; rather it's the superhero skins that are the highlight. The Reaper and Sojourn skins look excellent, however, it is disappointing that the Genji one - unlocked at tier 80 - is derived from the older, Sentai Genji Legendary skin. This diminishes its worth as the last skin to be unlocked in the battle pass.

Those who purchase the Ultimate version of the Overwatch 2 Season 11 Battle Pass will obtain everything in the Premium tier, plus the following rewards for a price of $40:

  • Kaiju Roadhog (Legendary)
  • Kaiju Zenyatta (Legendary)
  • 2000 Overwatch Coins
  • 20 Battle Pass Tier skips

Since 1000 Overwatch Coins equate to $10, players are essentially getting $20 worth of Coins in the Battle Pass. On top of the existing 600 Coins from the Battle Pass, players can spend these on the other premium skins in the in-game Shop or save them for the subsequent seasonal battle passes. In hindsight, players are essentially paying $20 for the other two Legendary skins, which is not a bad deal since the Kaiju look stands out even among the Premium tier skins.

The Ultimate Battle Pass seems worth it for those who main Roadhog and Zenyatta in Overwatch 2.

However, the Premium Battle Pass does seem a little weak, given only half the rewards are Ultrawatch-themed and the Genji skin is a recast version of an older cosmetic.

Overwatch 2 Season 11 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch platforms.
