Since its release in Year 9 Season 2, all players have been given access to trade cosmetics on the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace. From weapon skins, headgear, and uniforms to operator portraits and card backgrounds, there is something for everybody available on this trading site. However, on August 14, 2024, confusion spread when the marketplace went down effectively blocking players from using its facilities.
Although the marketplace was initially available to a select few people who registered before the early access, The Rainbow Six Siege team opened up the service to the public in Year 9 Season 2, allowing everyone to access it through the website.
This article will look into the issues the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace has been facing as of late.

Why is the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace down?
In the last few weeks, there was a persistent issue plaguing Rainbow Six Siege players who were trying to sell items in the marketplace. After selling an item successfully, the amount of R6 credits added was being displayed incorrectly in-game. Because of this players selling an item worth 160 R6 credits, for example, would get a visual indicator stating they received 1600 R6 credits.
When will the Rainbow Six Siege marketplace go under maintenance?
This issue confused the player base, making some wonder where the extra R6 credits were coming from. To fix this, Ubisoft will be carrying out a maintenance update on August 14, 2024, from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM. During this time, the marketplace will be unavailable since servers will be down. Moreover, the update might also tamper with the game servers, causing some to face disconnection issues.

The platforms that will be affected by this Rainbow Six Siege marketplace maintenance update are:
- Luna
