CouRageJD shares tips for Marvel Rivals beginners after reaching Grandmaster
CouRageJD was thrilled to reach the Grandmaster rank in Marvel Rivals. This is considered a remarkable feat in the game, akin to reaching Immortal in Valorant.
In his X post, the streamer expressed how much he enjoyed the experience and appreciated the hero shooter genre. He added that he dedicated considerable time to learning the game through guides and playing solo or duo queues. According to him, he always made an effort to play with skilled random teammates.
The content creator then offered tips to help beginners improve their skills and rise through the ranks in NetEase's new third-person shooter. Here are the tips, summarized:
- Voice communication and positivity should be the first priority.
- Lead the team if needed. Even if other players are not communicating, make calls that they can react to.
- Bring variation to your hero choice and try to be as versatile as possible.
- Master at least one to two heroes to be of maximum value to your team.
- Make use of the team-ups in the game.
- Critique your own games and try to find the best possible ways to improve.
- Try to learn when to push and when to fall back. This includes keeping an eye on healer ability cooldowns and enemy dive characters like Spider-Man, Magik, Psylocke, and Black Panther.
Despite reaching the Grandmaster rank, CouRageJD said he felt most comfortable playing with just two characters. He even admitted that, on other characters, he would likely only perform at a Diamond level at best.
