Piltover had long been known as the City of Progress, a place where peace and stability ruled supreme, but that tranquility was shaken when a new type of criminal came, the likes of whom had never been seen before. This mystery bandit ignited a series of catastrophic capers that put the entire city at risk and left Piltover residents reeling from the biggest crime spree in the city's history.

As the city was plagued by a succession of random crimes, glimpses of the lawbreaker began to emerge. Although the young woman's origins were unknown, some saw Piltover hextech in her weapons and others characterized Zaun street styles in her outfit. Jinx got her name since her presence was often accompanied by turmoil.

Who is Jinx?

Jinx is a psychotic and impetuous criminal from Zaun who causes chaos wherever she goes. She was recognized as a sweet and innocent young lady who enjoyed experimenting with machines but never felt fully at home. Her real name is Powder, and she is Vi's sister, as revealed in Arcane. However, after an accident killed two of her companions, Vi abandoned her, and Jinx was eventually adopted by Silco. He taught her most of her skills, although, after the terrible event, she became a completely different person who reveled in acts of destruction.

However, when Vi returned to town, the two sisters clashed, and when Vi managed to corner Jinx within a building's vault, Jinx unleashed a salvo of rockets with a psychotic laugh, bringing the entire building down on them both. But Vi survived, despite seeing no evidence of Jinx and only overheard the distant laughing of her new adversary.

Jinx’s role in League of Legends

In League of Legends, Jinx is a marksman. She's a long-range champion with two types of basic attacks, a trap ability, and an arsenal of insane, overcharged weapons, including a rocket target projectile ultimate that deals massive damage. Although she is a superb long-range fighter, she is generally frail, making her vulnerable in 1v1 combat.

Furthermore, Jinx will prioritize critical strike objects and attack speed because of her long-range and impressive attack speed.

What abilities does Jinx have?

Playing as the legendary Jinx, also known as the Loose Cannon in LoL, you can marvel at the havoc and go on a crime spree. She can light up any battleground by chaining her skills and abilities—keeping adversaries on-tilt and off-guard, guessing which gun you'll unleash next—using a pair of strong weaponry known as Fishbones and Pow-Pow.

Get Excited!

When an enemy champion, epic monster, or enemy turret is destroyed within 3 seconds of being damaged by Jinx, she gains a 175% increased movement speed that decays over 6 seconds. Furthermore, Get Excited increases Jinx's total attack speed by 15%, enabling her to surpass the attack speed cap for the same duration.

Switcheroo!

Jinx uses this ability to swap between her minigun, "Pow-Pow," and her rocket launcher, "Fishbones."

Pow-Pow

Basic Pow-Pow strikes earn Jinx a 2.5-second stack of Rev'd up, which can be stacked up to three times. Its duration is refreshed with each consecutive attack. When Jinx is revved up, she has additional attack speed and the initial stack is twice as powerful as the others. As time passes, the "stacks" you've accumulated degrade one at a time.

Fishbones

Basic attacks with Fishbones spend a lot of mana to cause 110% AD adjusted physical damage to a target unit and nearby enemy units. Fishbones' damage can be modified by critical strike modifiers—while Fishbones is in situ, Jinx gains additional range. She will, however, lose her increased attack speed.

Zap!

When Zap is used, Jinx can unleash a shock blast in a specific direction, doing significant damage to the first foe it hits. When you hit an enemy unit successfully, it will expose and slow them down for approximately 2 seconds.

Flame Chompers!

Jinx will fire three Flame Chompers at her target direction, which will land in a straight line after 0.4 seconds. After 0.5 seconds, it arms and explodes, causing magic damage on all nearby enemy units. When Jinx's Chompers strike an enemy champion, they can detonate earlier, rooting them for a bit more than a second. Remember that only one Chomper can set off and damage an opposing champion.

Super Mega Death Rocket!

Jinx will launch a rocket in the direction you specify when activated. It gives her a clear view of the surroundings as her rocket travels through them. When the rocket collides with an enemy champion, it explodes, dealing physical damage to the foes around it. Furthermore, the assault can provide Jinx visibility of the region for 2 seconds. Depending on the travel distance, the Super Mega Death Rocket can cause between 10% and 100% damage.

Meanwhile, the bonus damage from a target's missing health is kept. Enemies close to the primary target will take approximately 80% damage, with substantial damage based on missing unit health.
