Just cause 3 is like the "Pixels" for the video games. The scope is big but the execution is disappointing. It’s a game which provides players with all the tools required to "Set the world on fire", but just providing them isn't enough.Technical difficulties, lame story and dirt like A.I makes Just cause 3 a mediocre game rather than an end of the year blockbuster. The story missions restrict you from all the fun you can have by forcing you to execute scripted sequences. The characters aren't all that interesting and Rico Rodriguez still leaks cliches throughout the game.

Just cause 3 is a beautiful game to look at.The island measures to around 400 square kilometres and it is filled with varied locations to explore and objects to explode. The locations look dead gorgeous from far far away but when you get close, you realize that they lack detail.
The character models are pretty mediocre as well.I get it that the developers wanted to make sure that the island itself is the shining light of this game,It is still disappointing to see how each and every thing about the island lack details.
All of this can be ignored considering how Just Cause 3 manages to make explosions look super cool.It is super fun to blow stuff up and it is equally fun to watch the explosions. They look magnifmagnificent.
Apart from that,There really isn't much to say about the graphics of the game. Rico himself looks good but the other characters look worn out.The vehicles look average and the weapons don't shine much either(Word Play *winks*).None of this matters much when you start blowing stuff up,but it is still disappointing to realize that the developers didn't really bother with the details.
The sound design of the game is pretty decent. The explosions sound awesome which gives you another excuse to blow shit up.The voice actors have done their job perfectly even though rico sounds like a desperate indian trying to be a desperate mexican. There really isn't much to complain about the sound design of the game except of the fact that the radio is lame.Yes i chose the word "lame" to describe the radio of the game.
#2 Story
Set several years after the events of Just cause 2, Rico Rodriguez returns to his homeland of Medici, a fictional Mediterranean island under the brutal control of dictator General Di Ravello, who has set his eyes on world domination. Its now upto Rico to stop him from achieving his evil plans.
You guessed it.The story is nothing spectacular but it provides enough reasons for you to set the world of fire. Characters are forgettable, Dialogues are choppy, One liners are horribly hilarious and the plot is shady.
I never really cared about any of the characters in the game so it did not bother me at all when something happened to them. The story is below average and the plot is created just so that players can blow stuff up.
It's a shame that the developers can’t come up with a decent story which provides an engaging experience as well as reasons to cause chaos.Just like its predecessor, Just cause 3 fails to deliver a decent story.
#3 Gameplay
This is where the game shines. The game is super fun to play. There are enough gameplay mechanics for you to explore and master. My favorite is the grappling hook, which is easy to use but difficult to master. The game allows you to create your own hollywood style action sequences. In one of the missions i was suppose to protect a helicopter and a vehicle,So i attached the helicopter to the vehicle to make sure that both of them stay within my range.I climbed up on the vehicle and started shooting bad guys.
Game also provides a huge variety of weapons. From long range to dual wielded to special weapons,Just cause 3 got all your needs covered. There are various challenges which are extremely challenging for you to master which when completed will reward you with upgrades for your gears.
Though the story missions restrict you from fully unleashing chaos,You get enough chances to explore your gear with all the side activites Just cause 3 offers. The best thing about this game is the freedom it offers to chain together various moves to ultimately achieve your goal.I jumped out of my bike-Parachuted towards the mountain-Grappled the top of the mountain to provide my paruchute with more airtime-glided towards an enemy helicopter-attached a hook between a powerstation and a bike while standing vertically on the helicopter-jumped off the helicopter while the bike went flying towards the powerstation-BOOM-Badassery confirmed.
#4 Lasting Appeal
Just cause 3 is a huge game. Its a game filled with side activities to perform, outposts to liberate, challenges to complete, tricks to master. There are a total 25 story missions in the game but unfortunately they are not the star of the show. Its the side activities that shine in just cause 3.
This is because the freedom it offers you to make your very own action sequence. Now despite having tons of stuff to do,The game will quickly start to feel a bit repetitive. After liberating a few outposts,I coudn’t help but realize how empty this game really is in providing the much needed variety. The side activities all feel the same,The challenges can get annoying at times, and after exploring all the cool tricks, you’ll be forced do the same things the same way over and over.If you like what you are doing and don’t mind doing it over and over, Just cause 3 provides enough reason to bounce back after completing the story.
#5 Overall Rating
Just cause 3 is a game filled with cool stuff to perform and red objects to destroy.Technical issues and repetitive nature along with mediocre story damages this game every now and then. But if you are looking to blow stuff up in a videogame, Just cause 3 is your game.+Gears & Perks+Freedom in gameplay+Huge Map
-Terrible A.I-Medicore Storyline-Boring characters-Repetitive activities
