As Ketchup is a Peppy-type personality, she can’t help but be the life of the party. Always in a good mood and eager for a chat, Ketchup is eager to become fast friends with the player pretty much as soon as she meets them. Refusing to be discouraged easily, Ketchup does several things for hobbies, though ultimately wishing to be a pop star. As a Peppy type, she will get along with Lazy, Normal, Jock, Sisterly and other peppy personalities. However, she may come into conflict with cracky and snooty villagers.

Ketchup is a duck that closely resembles the food she’s named after. Having a mostly red body like ketchup, yellow blush, beak, and wings helps break up the color palette. Interestingly enough, her hair is green, making her look like a tomato.
How to get Ketchup in New Horizons
Getting a villager you want in New Horizons is particularly tricky, as there is only one surefire way to do so, the rest is up to luck. There are two primary methods of getting Ketchup in your village, the first is using Nook Miles to fly to an island and see if she is there. Keep in mind if you do this you’ll have to have an open plot available. The next is to wait and see if she’ll appear at your campsite. Either way, both methods are luck-based, so it’s completely up to chance.
Role of Ketchup in New Leaf
Getting Ketchup in your village was even harder in New Leaf, as there was no way in-game that you could invite her. Instead, only by having her amiibo card could she be invited to your village, to eventually be convinced to live there.
Amiibo Card
A guaranteed way to get Ketchup on your island is to use her Amiibo card. Simply scan it with your Switch on the Town Hall. Keep in mind in order to do this you need to have both the Town Hall and Campsite constructed. Once you’ve invited him to your campsite, you simply need to do this three times and she’ll be part of your island!
