Phroxzon, LoL Riot's Lead Gameplay Designer, recently took to X to reveal the upcoming changes to the game via the League of Legends patch 14.14 preview. He provided a great deal of information about the next update. Some of the changes will also come with patch 14.15.
Here are the notable changes mentioned in the League of Legends patch 14.14 preview:
Un-pro-skewing certain champions
Riot Phroxzon noted that the updates in League of Legends have been able to restore balance among many champions that are not suitable for professional players, including Akali, Sylas, Irelia, etc. These champions have now been made playable for regular players.
However, Riot Games is considering reintroducing some elements of its skew back to make them more usable in pro-scene or high MMR situations. This decision stems from the observation that pro players lack viable aggressive options; even those that exist frequently resort to defensive purchases (such as boots).

Teleport changes
Riot Games is looking to alter the Teleport spell and resolve its ability to impact lanes without involving the bot lane party. The developer is not happy with the spell's current state.
Due to the uninteractive nature of early Teleports, players can anticipate certain nerfs that might be included as part of the spell.

- Q Damage: 50-110 + 26-35% AD → 50-140 + 32-50% AD (Binding Eclipse)
- Q Damage: 31-100 + 40-60% AD → 35-125 + 42-60% AD (Sentry)
- Q Damage: 10-40 + 20-35% AD → 10-40 + 22-40% AD (Onslaught)
2) Cho'Gath
- Q Damage: 80-320 → 80-340
- E Damage: 22-82 → 20-100
3) Jayce
- Ranged Q Damage: 55-330 + 120% bAD → 60-335 +125% bAD
4) Sion
- W Damage: 40-140 + 10-14% Target HP → 40-140 + 14% Target HP
5) Smolder
- Q Damage: 15-55 → 20-60
6) Teemo
- Passive: Removed 0.25s of variance in stealth timing. (0.125s faster stealth)

- W Range: 1200u (+7.5 per Stardust) → 1500-1900u (+7.5 per Stardust)

Along with the champion changes, we can expect system nerfs to Absorb Life and Warmog's Armor as well.
- Absorb Life: Heal 2-20 linear → 1-23 scaling, Nerfed levels 1-12, Buffed levels 13-18
- Warmog's Armor: Passive HP Threshold 1300 → 1500
LoL patch 14.14 is expected to be released on July 17, 2024.
