Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s latest trailer offers fans a look at what awaits them on the high seas, in the form of naval combat. Thankfully, the ship combat looks faster than recent boat-based games like Skull and Crossbones are offering. This more closely resembles one of the best Assassin’s Creed games of all time—Black Flag. The boat moves incredibly fast on the water, which is great.

Players will have to sail around incoming enemy bombardments while sending their own waves of cannonballs back at the enemy. You can even sail up next to enemy ships in Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and bombard them nice and close to ensure your shots don’t miss.

Once you’ve done enough damage, you can set a gangplank out and charge across with your crew to do battle up close and personal! That’s when you need to rely on Majima’s incredible new combat styles, of Mad Dog (Speed, Agility, Knife attacks) and Sea Dog (Dual-wielding cutlass, pistols, andother pirate tools).

In addition, the trailer showed off how customizable the Goromaru is. You can add your flare to the vessel, customizing its hull, sails, figurehead, and trimming. You can make it as menacing or as chaotic as you please. Overall, the trailer gives fans a deep look at what they can expect from not just the seas but a peek at Madlantis as well.

Within the walls of Madlantis, players can take part in a pirate ship battle, at the Pirates Coliseum. In the trailer, Majima had to face off against two enemy ships at once, and one even had flamethrower attacks.

Finally, it revealed important character information. Samoa Joe’s role in the upcoming Like a Dragon game was confirmed: Raymond Law, the Pirate King. Saejima Taiga is also confirmed for the game, but due to amnesia, Majima cannot recall their relationship.
