LoL News: Riot reveal plans regarding League universe moving forward

One thing which Riot is particularly good at doing is creating this very intriguing yet attractive storyline around different champions. In 2018, Riot set a baseline for the world of Runterra(the entire League universe). However, there was no real connection established between different arcs. Moving forward in 2019, Riot is planning to connect different dots which will give fans a proper line to follow.

With the release of latest champion Sylas, there have been several questions regarding the true identity on Demacia. On the surface, it looks like a peaceful faction who stands for good but Sylas has arrived and indicated that it's just an illusion. Demacia is known for neglecting magic but with other factions around it getting stronger in the arts of magic, there will be a point when Demacia will have to acknowledge magic. This year will tell us about the different secrets of Demacia and what is Sylas's main purpose.

Bandle city is famous for being home to Yordles. While it is a known city, nobody really knows what's inside. Why the existence of Yordles is important in the League universe? All this will be revealed moving forward.

According to many fans, the League universe seems really stagnant and only being active during the release of a new champion. Riot has acknowledged this fact and promised that there will be more storylines this year irrespective of new champions' release.

Riot will be targeting comic books this year and has already released the first iteration of the Ashe comic in collaboration with Marvel. There will be multiple issues to a single arc, so expect a lot of comics to be released. Riot is also planning to explore the brother-sister duo, Lux and Garen. They are also targeting the story of dark assassin zed.

There is a lot to come this year, which will include both physical and digital issues.
