After the amount of success that Lies of P was able to garner, Lords of the Fallen has quickly grown to be the next most anticipated Souls-like game in 2023. With the title finally dropping today (October 13, 2023), there are many in the community who are quite curious if Lords of the Fallen has a New Game Plus (NG+) mode.

An NG+ mode is one of the biggest features that players often look forward to in a Souls-like game. Especially if there are multiple endings to be unlocked an NG+ is one of the best ways of going about unlocking them.

Hence, it’s not all that surprising why many in the community are quite curious if the title comes with the NG+ feature.

Fortunately for those who were looking forward to an NG+ mode in Lords of the Fallen, the game does come with New Game Plus. Once they have completed the base game, they will be able to replay it in the NG+ mode.

However, the NG+ mode will have a few differences from the base New Game, and the game’s Executive Producer, Saul Gascon, and Creative Director, Cezar Virtosu, have even gone on to suggest that the mode will have “Quite a few surprises”.

What to expect from Lords of the Fallen NG+?

In the NG+ mode of this Souls-like game, the enemies are much tougher; however, you will be able to carry over all of your existing gear and stats from the base game.

Additionally, one of the core features of the New Game Plus mode will be the Vestige Seedlings. Vestiges are checkpoints, like the bonfire from Dark Souls or the Lantern from Bloodborne.

You will be able to plant a Vestige Seedling, and that will act as one of your resting points. This will, therefore, open up a lot of strategies for you as you make your way through an area.

However, keep in mind that to move a vestige, you will need to uproot the seedling and then plant it again somewhere else. This creates more gameplay options, but be aware not to plant it at a spot where there are too many high-level enemies around.

The NG+ mode in Lords of the Fallen provides a unique and fresh gameplay feature, and as it also has multiple endings to unlock, players are advised to make the most of this mode.
